15–300 cleaning staff
The service is designed for cleaning companies employing between 15 and 300 staff.
Payroll savings for cleaning companies
You work hard to build your cleaning company.
You manage the clients, the staff, the problems and the pressure, but when it comes to paying yourself more, there is always the same question:
Can the business actually afford it?
Knox helps cleaning company owners reduce unnecessary payroll costs so that more of the money your business earns stays available to you.
Legally. Legitimately. And without creating another financial burden.
Eligibility
Knox Findata’s Payroll Savings service is designed for established South African cleaning companies looking to identify potential savings within their existing workforce.
Eligibility depends on your company, workforce and applicable requirements.
The service is designed for cleaning companies employing between 15 and 300 staff.
Your company must be registered for payroll tax, including Pay-As-You-Earn (PAYE) and the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF).
Your company’s monthly EMP201 declarations and EMP501 reconciliations must be up to date.
The next step is a payroll savings assessment. Knox looks at your company’s payroll circumstances to determine whether a savings opportunity exists.
Meeting the requirements does not guarantee savings. The assessment is what shows whether there is an opportunity worth exploring.

Do My Savings Assessment
Who you will work with
Founder & Managing Director
“I received my first payroll contract in 2015 and learned on the job. Years later, consulting for a cleaning company with 62 employees, I missed an opportunity to help them access approximately R26,000 a month in payroll savings. That missed opportunity has stayed with me, and it is why Knox Findata exists.”
“My mission is to help 1,000 cleaning companies across South Africa keep more money in their businesses through legitimate payroll savings and rebates.”
FAQ
This service is designed specifically for established South African cleaning companies that: employ between 15 and 300 cleaning staff, are registered for Payroll Tax including PAYE and UIF, and are up to date with their EMP201 and EMP501 submissions.
If your cleaning company meets these requirements, there may be an opportunity to improve your payroll position and keep more of the money your business already earns.
The amount depends on how many of your employees qualify. The payroll savings assessment works this out from your actual payroll, so you see the saving available to your company rather than an estimate.
Once Knox has processed your payroll and submitted the tax figures to SARS, which are due on the 7th of the following month. That is the point at which the savings are realised.
Once you decide to proceed, Knox needs your company registration documents, your employee information (address, banking details, remuneration, leave and tax numbers) and, if Knox will be paying your staff, your company banking details.
Each month Knox needs hours worked, leave taken, any bonuses, deductions, loan repayments and pension or provident fund figures. A representative from your company completes a master payroll spreadsheet, which takes about 30 seconds to a minute per employee.
Accountants generally focus on accounting, bookkeeping, income tax and VAT, and payroll savings implementation is not widely taught in accounting programmes. Payroll providers focus on processing payroll.
Knox specialises in payroll and looks specifically for savings opportunities within your existing workforce.
Yes. Clients who go ahead with the payroll savings implementation move their payroll to Knox, and there is no cost to move it over. Where Knox takes on a client partway through the payroll year, payroll is reprocessed from the start of that year in March so the savings are applied in full. The minimum contract period is one year.
We win when you win. Our fee is linked to the savings achieved.
Knox Findata charges a percentage of the savings received after implementing the process.
Next step
A discovery call gives Knox the opportunity to understand your business and payroll, and discuss whether an assessment may be appropriate.
