Purpose of processing
Knox processes personal information to assess prospective clients, deliver backup, monitoring, recovery and consulting services, administer billing, and comply with legal obligations. Details of what is collected and shared appear in the Privacy Policy.
Your rights under POPIA
- To be notified that your personal information is being collected, and if it has been accessed by an unauthorised person
- To request access to the personal information we hold about you
- To request correction or deletion of personal information that is inaccurate, out of date, excessive or unlawfully obtained
- To object to processing, including for direct marketing
- To submit a complaint to the Information Regulator

Cross-border transfers
Website form submissions are processed via Formspree in the United States, as disclosed in the Privacy Policy. Client backup data itself is stored in South African data centres and does not leave the country.
Security safeguards
Knox applies technical and organisational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of financial data, including encryption of backup data in transit and at rest, restricted access, and confidentiality obligations on all consultants operating under Knox's instruction.
